The basics
What this is, and how the two sides fit together.
What's the difference between The Modern Teacher and The Bloom Studio?
The Modern Teacher is a subscription portal — the full set of planning, curriculum, admin, wellness, and career tools you use across the whole year. The Bloom Studio is the resource library sold a la carte, so you can buy a single lesson or unit on its own without subscribing. Same brand, same quality, two ways in.
What tools are actually in The Modern Teacher?
Nine, across five pillars: the Long Range Planner for planning; the Curriculum Decoder for curriculum; the Report Card Comment Builder, Parent Newsletter, Communication Log, Class Lists, Assessment Tracker, and Student Tracker for admin; a Wellness Tracker and Goals & Wins for well-being; and a Teacher Career Guide and resume builder for career growth. See exactly what's in each plan on the
pricing page.
What do you need right now — a system for the year, or one resource for this week?
If it's the whole year, start with The Modern Teacher — it's the best fit for most elementary teachers. If it's one resource this week, The Bloom Studio has it. And you can always start small and move up when the time is right; nothing is locked in.
Buying & plans
Trials, tiers, and how a purchase actually works.
Do I need a subscription to buy something from The Bloom Studio?
No. Bloom Studio resources are sold individually — buy just the one you need. If you find yourself buying several, a Modern Teacher subscription includes monthly Seeds — credits that unlock studio resources outright through the portal's Knowledge Library — so it's worth comparing.
What's the difference between Core, Beyond, and Vault?
Core keeps every tool that's part of day-to-day classroom survival — planning, the bulk of report card writing, admin, and wellness — fully usable, plus the Build Your Own tools (worksheets, lesson plans, and quizzes, unlimited), with 1 Seed a month for the Bloom Studio. Beyond adds the Learning Skills section of the Comment Builder, the Parent Newsletter, the Career & Growth tools, and 3 Seeds a month. Vault includes everything in Beyond plus the entire Bloom Studio library, no Seeds needed. The full comparison lives on the
pricing page.
How does checkout work, and what happens after?
You check out here on mrspcreations.ca — whether that's a single Bloom Studio resource or a Modern Teacher subscription. For a subscription, you're then taken to themodernteacher.ca to confirm your trial or plan, and brought back here to set up your profile. One checkout, a clean handoff into the portal where you'll actually work.
Are these the final prices?
Not quite. The subscription prices shown are a working hypothesis while the platform is new, and individual Bloom Studio prices are still being set. Anything provisional is labelled clearly on the site so you always know what's final and what isn't.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. A subscription is month-to-month unless you choose annual, and you can cancel whenever you like — there's no lock-in and no cancellation runaround. If prices ever rise for new sign-ups, existing subscribers keep the price they started at.
Privacy & data
The part a lot of teacher tools gloss over.
Does anything here send my students' data to an AI?
No. No feature calls a live AI model, and no student data is ever sent to a third-party AI. The Comment Builder works from a curated database of comments written by a teacher by hand — not generated on the fly. This is a permanent architecture choice, built with the boards that restrict AI use in mind.
Are report card comments stored against my students?
No. Comment content is never kept tied to a student record anywhere in the system. That was a deliberate decision to avoid creating a student-data liability in the first place — not an accident of scope.
Do I have to enter students' full names?
No — the class list and student tracker guide you toward first names only. Less personal information is exposed by default, which keeps the tool easier to bring into a privacy-conscious board.
Curriculum & fit
Where it's built for, and who it's for.
What provinces and curricula are supported?
The tools are built for Ontario first — the curriculum expectations and report card comments follow the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success language, grades 1–8, across all core subjects (French and Religion aren't covered). Support for other Canadian provinces is planned as the catalogue grows. The feeling of the job is the same coast to coast; the curriculum references are what change.
Is this only for elementary teachers?
It's built for Ontario elementary teachers, grades 1–8 — that's who I taught, and who the curriculum content is written for. If you teach outside that band, some tools (wellness, career growth, the resume builder) still fit; the curriculum-specific ones are grades 1–8 for now.
Are there reviews or testimonials I can read?
Not yet — this is new, and I'd rather show you real numbers than manufacture social proof. What I can show you: full grades 1–8 Ontario curriculum coverage, 30,956 report card comments written by hand, ten years in the classroom, and a pathways-and-transitions role behind the career tools. When real reviews exist, they'll be real.
